Chicken Parmesan

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts

  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 egg (beaten)

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 cup tomato or marinara sauce

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Cooked spaghetti (for serving)

  • Fresh basil (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare chicken: Slice chicken breasts in half to make thin pieces. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Coat chicken: Dip each piece in flour, then egg, then a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan.

  3. Fry chicken: Heat olive oil in a pan. Cook chicken on medium heat until golden and cooked through.

  4. Add sauce and cheese: Place fried chicken in a baking dish. Spoon tomato sauce over it and top with mozzarella.

  5. Bake: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake for 10–15 minutes until cheese melts.

  6. Serve: Place chicken over cooked spaghetti, garnish with basil, and serve hot.
